Summertime Fine ~ Our Favorite Outdoor Living Areas

It's mid-Summer. July is around the corner, and so are tons more pool parties, backyard soirees, and BBQs to be had. It's time to get outside, soak up some rays, and enjoy your patios and outdoor living areas...and if you're like us, these exterior spaces are just as important as your interiors! They need to be beautiful, functional, and durable.

Is yours ready for the climax of Summer?

Today, we're sharing the essentials for creating a successful exterior design with some of our favorite outdoor spaces. We hope they inspire and motivated you to get your outdoors primed and ready for its busy season!

Have plenty of seating:

One of the first questions our designers will ask clients: Do you like to entertain? If so, how?

This plays a big role in the design and selections of your outdoor space. When entertaining plays a prominent role in the client's life - we make sure their spaces incorporate plenty of seating options. Whether with tables, multiple outdoor sofas, a large sectional, or a bar with ample seating, it's important to create a space where guests can be comfortable and allow for an easy, accessible conversation for all.

Pairing sectionals with bar seating or adding a dining table and chairs provide plenty of room for guest to mingle.

Make sure it's durable:

Extreme heat, rain, wind...you name it! Your outdoor spaces have to be resistant. We take careful consideration to select pieces that are washable, easy-clean, fade, stain and mildew resistant. This includes selecting outdoor sofas, chairs, and pillows that are made from indoor/outdoor grade fabrics. Our go-to's include Sunbrella, Crypton, Couture Jardin, and other polyester, acrylic or UV-treated fabrics made from recyclable materials with stain-resistant or repellant technology.

We also look to include outdoor-rated ceramics, teak, contract-grade wicker, PVC, and aluminium powder coated pieces for overall quality, comfort, and durability. It is our priority to select pieces that are not only beautiful but able to withstand the Texas weather for many many years.

See a few of the spaces below that incorporate these high-performance materials.

We hope these design tips inspire you to create an exterior space that is beautiful, functional, and long-lasting. So, get outside and enjoy your outdoors...just in time for July 4th!
